1) How did you start your Crossfit journey?

This past February when you ran your 28 days for $28 at SWEAT Logan(my husband) had been bugging me to try it out. Now I'm the one that bugs him to go to class because I go every single morning during the week at 5am! I like to say he created a monster!

2) What made you start your new lifestyle?

I had Gallbladder removal surgery last year and once that happens it is harder to lose weight. So being healthy and taking care of myself became a priority. Finding a gym and workout routine was the next step.

 3) How have your eating habits changed?

I lost quite a bit of weight when I started out in February. I recently went vegetarian and have been feeling great! Gallbladder surgery has made it difficult because I always felt sick to my stomach after eating, but after removing meat and processed meats I am now feeling so much better! I am excited to see how much my body changes after time passes!

 4) What keeps you coming back for more?

It's a good addiction(working out), far better than many other habits people have. It gets me going every morning and when I happen to miss a workout (which has happened only 7x since February) I just don't feel as good during the day. It's funny how big of a difference it makes for my day.

 5) What is one thing you have done here that you never thought you could?

Ok, there are more than one! I started lifting a 15lb Torpedo for squats and now I am at the 40 or 50. I have gained so much strength. What I am actually surprised I am doing that I never thought I could do is sign up to compete. I am competing at the in-house Festivus competition in October and I want to get strong enough to lift that 185lb Deadlift(in the Deadlift Ladder event). The coaches did a good job of persuading me to sign up(We call it nice arm twisting!).

 6) Do you and Logan get competitive when it comes to what both of you are doing at the gym?

Yeah...We definitely both have a little bit of a competitive nature and push each other. They say the couples that workout together stay together. We are always comparing workouts and I am always bugging him to get up and go to the gym at 5am more! He is obnoxious and has squatted me before just to prove he can. Because I signed up for Festivus, he didn't want to be outdone so he signed up too. It will be interesting to see how that goes(a smile and eye roll).
