Low Carb Breakfast Chili

INGREDIENTS 

1# pork sausage

1 cup of your favorite salsa

1/4 cup water

1 tablespoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon ground coriander

1 teaspoon chili powder

OPTIONAL GARNISHES:

Shredded cheese 

Chopped scallions 

Pico de gallo

Chopped cilantro

Avocado

Sour cream

Fried egg

DIRECTIONS

Brown pork sausage in a frying pan and then drain the grease out of the pan.

Add salsa, water and spices to the sausage in the frying pan.

Cook over medium heat for 10 minutes.

Serve hot and garnish as desired.

NOTES

Prepared as shown above is a low carb meal.

If you are not concerned about carbs you can use as filling for breakfast burrito, to top tostada shells, or over tortilla chips for breakfast nachos.

Try using pre cooked breakfast sausages when time is of the essence. Just thaw the patties and finely chop them up.
