The BASIC 3… EVERYBODY SHOULD TAKE SUPPLEMENTS
A Multiple Vitamin: A broad base, high quality, multiple vitamin/mineral supplement is an inexpensive insurance policy providing your body with many of the missing nutrients that are absent in today’s food (Methylated B12 and MethylFolate!). Even if you eat healthy/nutrient dense foods, the soil that our food is grown in is not what it used to be. By taking a multi- vitamin, this will fill some of the gaps in our daily nutrition.
Recommended dose: 3-4 capsules/day
Omega 3 Fish Oils: Studies show that you will reduce your risk of heart disease, cancer, depression, Alzheimer’s, diabetes, autoimmune diseases, and decrease overall inflammation of the body and joints. Unless you eat ample amounts of 100% grass-fed beef, you will need to supplement this into your diet. (Why beat a dead horse? You can get more information on this topic by reading the article posted on December 2nd, 2016)
Minimum recommended dose: 2g of Omega 3s/day. Use only a high quality source.
Vitamin D: People living in the Midwest are severely deficient in Vitamin D from the mid fall to mid spring months. Vitamin D is an immune system modulator and is VERY important for many systems in the body. *Quick Tip!: If you step outside and your shadow is taller than you are, that means your body isn’t able to absorb the required amount of Vitamin D from the sun’s rays that you need.
Recommended dose: 5000 IU/day
